Aston Villa got 2025 off to a winning start on Saturday, triumphing 2-1 over Leicester City at Villa Park.
After a cagey first period, Ross Barkley’s fizzing strike broke the deadlock just before the hour mark, with Leon Bailey’s first goal of the season sealing all three points for Unai Emery’s men, after Stephy Mavididi had dragged the Foxes level.
The win marked Villa’s 10th-consecutive Premier League game unbeaten at home, with four wins in their last five in B6.
