Sky Germany reports that at least 5 Bundesliga clubs have shown interest in Liverpool centre-back Sepp van den Berg, who is looking to leave the club.
At some point this summer Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Mainz have all shown an interest in the 22-year-old.
Some teams have made serious offers for van den Berg but they have been rejected by Liverpool. Mainz hopes that they can loan out the defender once again, who spent last season at the MEWA Arena and had a successful spell as the club managed to avoid relegation. While Wolfsburg are the latest to show the most interest as they look for a potential replacement for Maxence Lacroix, who could leave the club this summer.
Liverpool continue to hold out for €20-25m for van den Berg but his future at the club remains open as they have been happy with his performance in recent weeks. However, the defender himself wants to leave the club if he is to sit on the bench all season and would also favour a return to Germany.
