Sun He also claims that Newcastle want a fee of around £100m for the Sweden international and that the player could be tempted to move to the Lilywhites if he qualifies for the Champions League next season and the Magpies fail to make it.

However, the report claims that Arsenal are also interested in signing him, so the Lilywhites will face stiff competition from their arch-rivals to secure any potential deal for the 24-year-old.

It has been suggested that the Gunners are prioritizing strengthening their front line by signing a prolific goalscorer ahead of next season. A number of forwards have been suggested as serious targets for the north London club, including Isak.

Isak is a talented player and has already shown flashes of his qualities in the first division in recent times. Therefore, he would be a shrewd signing for Arsenal or Tottenham if either club buys him.

However, it will be interesting to see who will ultimately win the race to sign Isak if Arsenal take on Tottenham for this deal in the next window.
