Gabby Agbonlahor has offered Liverpool fans an insight into Ruben Amorim's work ethic after they did a training course together.
Sporting Lisbon coach Amorim has been linked with a change to red in the summer to replace the outgoing Jurgen Klopp.
The 39-year-old led Sporting to the Portuguese top-flight title in 2021 and is on course to do so again this season as he sits at the top of the table.
Amorim's success has therefore made him a candidate for the soon-to-be-vacant position at Liverpooland Agbonlahor has experienced his commitment as a coach first-hand.
Speaking to Darren Bent on talkSPORT Drive, the former Aston Villa star revealed how he and Amorim were previously on the same training course and suggested the Portuguese would have what it takes to be Liverpool manager.
“Interestingly, I got my coaching badges with Ruben, we did the fast track course, Northern Ireland, Belfast,” he said Agbonlahor.

“He was someone who said, he was on it, man. Some people might have laughed a little and joked about the countryside and stuff, he was on it.
“Concentrating in each meeting, all the theoretical part, when you did the training things on the field you could tell that he was in it.
“I'm sure that was five years ago, he's 39 now, so he's quite a young manager, but I don't see why not (he could become Liverpool manager), he's doing a great job at Sporting, isn't he? “
Amorim is one of the leading candidates for the Liverpool job. German national team boss Julian Nagelsmann is also a rumored name.
Xabi Alonso was the favorite since Klopp announced that he was leavebut the former Red compromised his future to Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite ties to such a high-profile job, Amorim recently said he has I felt 'annoyed' on speculation over a move to Liverpool.
Whoever takes charge next, be it Amorim, Nagelsmann or another option, will have big shoes to fill at Anfield.
Klopp will leave the club after guiding them to success in all major competitions, including the Premier League and Champions League.
The German is considered a Reds legend and leaves a legacy that will be difficult to surpass as the club prepares for its next era.
