Bruno Fernandes scores 40-yard goal for Manchester United as Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah's mistake proves costly

Bruno Fernandes scored a stunning 40-yard effort in front of the Stretford End to draw Manchester United level against Liverpool.

Man United had been second best throughout the first half after failing to register a single shot, while Liverpool had 15 of their own.

With Luis Diaz finding the net from close range, it felt like a game Jurgen Klopp's side were ready to finish off before Jarell Quansah held on for a moment to forget.

Without any pressure, the 21-year-old squared a pass straight into the path of Fernandes, who was just inside the Liverpool half.

Without even touching, the Portuguese star lunged and beat Caoimhin Kelleher, who was out of position and unable to prevent the shot from entering his goal.

That goal was Fernandes' 50th for Manchester United and, without a doubt, one of his most memorable.
