Dominic Solanke's wonderful Premier League season continued with a record-breaking goal against Manchester United.

The forward now has 17 goals in the top category, one more than josh king managed during the 2016/17 campaign.

Many Cherries fans believed King's top-flight record could never be surpassed, but the former Liverpool player has been brilliant this year.

Andoni Iraola has brought out the best in the forward, who has mocked those who doubted him.

His goal put Bournemouth 1-0 against United at Vitality Stadium, and that put him on par with Alejandro Isak in the race for the Golden Boot.

Solanke He is now just three goals behind Manchester City's top scorer Erling Haaland, who is currently leading the way.

And his expert 16th-minute finish showed exactly why many fans want him to be included in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2024.

He chased a hopeful pass from Marcos Senesi down the left flank, where he ran into United defender Willy Kambwala.

But the Frenchman was no match for Solanke, who pushed the centre-back when the youngster fell to the ground.

And he decided to shoot from outside the area, where he put his shot into the bottom left corner, beyond André Onana.

With Euro 2024 approaching quickly, Solanke is doing his best to fight his way into South GateHis plans after they did not take him into account for the March friendlies.

The Red Devils tied in the second half thanks to a controversial penalty from Bruno Fernandes.
