Mark Goldbridge's Manchester United transfer wish list includes sale of Marcus Rashford and two others with three new signings
Manchester United are set for big changes this summer with the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe to take charge of football operations.
The British billionaire has already overseen some major changes, signing Jason Wilcox as athletic director, Omar Berrada as general director and in the hunt for Dan Ashworth as technical director.
Ratcliffe has been desperate to get the right people in charge for what promises to be one of the most seismic summers in recent history at Old Trafford.
Big transfers are expected, with big departures too, and talkSPORT's own Mark Goldbridge has provided detailed information on what needs to happen in manchester united in the transfer window.
So who could be leaving and who could be entering?
DEPARTURE: Casemiro
The first is the midfielder who cost Man United £60m in 2022.
“Seeing how things are going, I think casemiro It's a good start (to go).
“He's just not at the level he needs to be and I don't think he'll get back to that level.
“He was brilliant last season, but I think moving Casemiro on and getting some money is a good idea.
“Moving players forward is not always about being toxic and saying, 'Get out of my club,' it's about pragmatism, which is why I think Casemiro is leaving.”
OUT: Scott McTominay
McTominay has played almost 250 games for the Red Devils and has been a consistent player under successive coaches.
However, Goldbridge would get rid of the midfielder.
“Scott McTominay needs to leave because I think he would be a good player for a mid-table club in the Premier League.
“If he doesn't score a goal, he's the invisible man and doesn't really offer anything.
“So I think it needs to be downloaded and improved.”
OUT: Marcus Rashford
Rashford has had a poor season on the pitch and questions have been raised about his future.
“I hate to say it, and it's probably controversial, but I agree with a lot of United fans now, dare I say even Simon Jordan.
“Believe Mark Rashford needs to go.
“There is a real problem now. It's the same situation that happened two years ago, where if manchester united If you want to reach the best, you must stop trying the same things over and over again.
“Personally I think Rashford would benefit massively from a move, I think he needs a move.
“I don't think Manchester United will benefit, but I think it has to be a concern how bad they have been this season. I think the team is better balanced when he's not there.
“The way he plays doesn't suit the way we want to play, so I would rule out Rashford.”
IN: Michael Olise
Palace will want more than £60m for Olise and the south London club are in a strong position having signed him to an extension last summer.
“crystal PalaceMichael Olise is a more creative player, which would allow Alejandro Garnacho to play on the left.
“I think that would be immediately better for us as an offensive team.”
IN: Adrien Rabiot
Rabiot will be a free agent in the summer and is still only 29 years old.
“In the midfield I think there are several players. I really like the idea of Rabiot, if he is available for free.
“I know his temperament is a bit risky, but I think he's a good player and a gift would be nice.”
IN: Ederson
The 24-year-old has impressed for Atalanta and is attracting plenty of transfer interest from across Europe.
“Ederson at Atalanta could be a good replacement for Casemiro, a progressive midfielder.
“We mainly need centre-backs, but we have so many centre-backs injured at the moment that it is difficult to know who will stay and who will go.
“In midfield and in attack, I would choose those players.”
