After being rested against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, Jamal Musiala is expected to start for Bayern Munich against Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old had a slight knee injury which kept him sidelined but Musiala – alongside Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry – returned to training for Bayern on Monday. Two of the three are expected to start in Bayern’s attack, with Serge Gnabry an option from the bench although Thomas Tuchel did predict the latter to score against Los Blancos.
Against Eintracht Frankfurt, and just like they did against Arsenal in the second-leg, Raphael Guerreiro started in an attacking position with Noussair Mazraoui at left-back, which is likely to be the same again on Tuesday night.
Defensively, Matthijs de Ligt was absent from training on Monday but there’s still a possibility the Dutchman could feature. The central-defender was replaced at half-time against Eintracht and was pictured with a knee heavily bandaged. If he’s fit, then expect De Ligt to start alongside Eric Dier, but Dayot Upamecano also returned to training while Kim Min-jae also remains a defensive option.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Real Madrid
Manuel Neuer – Joshua Kimmich, Matthijs de Ligt, Eric Dier, Noussair Mazraoui – Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka – Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, Raphael Guerreiro – Harry Kane.
