Piers Morgan has offered to pay for Tottenham to have a parade of open-top buses if they beat Man City and finish fourth. He'll even wear a Spurs jersey!
The die-hard Arsenal fan was in good spirits after watching a 3-2 win on their rivals on Sunday.
This result means that despite Manchester City's victory over Nottingham ForestThe Gunners remain at the top of the Premier League table with one point ahead of City.
But with pep guardiolaMorgan, who faces Tottenham in that match, finds himself in an unusual position in that he will actually back the Whites.
Discussing the title race on The Sports Breakfast, Morgan said: “We are in great form. Arsenal, in 2024, are absolutely on fire. If you take out Villa's game we have been unbeatable.
“The only team that can stop us is Manchester City and I don't think they are going to win their remaining four games.
“I think Tottenham will do something on their pitch that will ruin the lives of all Tottenham fans, but will help us win the league.”
Spurs will travel to the Etihad Stadium on May 14th in a game that will be their penultimate game of the season.
While victory over Pep Guardiola's team would certainly help Arsenal clinch the title, Morgan offered a huge incentive if Tottenham manage to finish fourth.
“This is what I would say to Tottenham fans: you will never win the league; They have never won the league in my life, that will never happen.
The first four are great for you though. Coming fourth is like winning a trophy for Tottenham!
“So my message to Tottenham fans is 'come on guys, put the rivalry aside and you can finish fourth!'
“It will be the greatest moment in the history of Tottenham Hotspur. Coming fourth is like winning a trophy, so go out on May 14.thdismantle Man City, enjoy your moment in the sun and organize an open-top bus parade. I'll even pay for it!
“I will pay for several open-top buses to go around Tottenham and around Tottenham to celebrate my fourth place. I'll even put on a Tottenham shirt and join the parade.
“This is the moment. Come on Tottenham, finish fourth and get as close as possible to a trophy you can win and help Arsenal win the Premier League.”
