Jason Cundy couldn't hide his laughter as he listened to Jamie O'Hara rant about the state of Tottenham's defense in the North London Derby.
O'Hara had to watch his beloved Spurs lose 3-0 Arsenal during the first half of Sunday, so It's almost impossible to get anything out of the game.
Ange PostecoglouThe team managed to recover to 3-2, but it was not enough to show off in what was possibly their most important game of the season.
Speaking on The Sports Bar, O'Hara said: “I don't think it's as bad as people think. “We were 3-0 down at half-time and it doesn't look good, I understand that.
“We could have had a penalty. (Dejan) Kulusevski was a barrier penalty, I can't wait to speak to Dermot (Gallagher) because the referees have no hope in the Premier League. “That is a penalty.”
The talkSPORT studio then filled with the noise of a violin playing, with Cundy laughing and O'Hara saying: “Oh, here we go.”
Urged by Cundy to 'move on', O'Hara continued: “We are 2-0 down, Ben Davies shouldn't be playing left back but he has to play left back. It's not good enough, we have to get rid of it.
“Show (Bukayo) Saka to your right. Show it away from the goal. You get him in and he just pops one in the corner. You know what he's going to do, you know he's going to do that!
“Then, on set pieces, we are like a pub team. We really are a pub team. Ange has to fix this. She continues talking about this fluid football, but we have to order the set pieces. It is a shame!”
With Cundy holding his head in his hands laughing, O'Hara continued: “Vicario, he might as well be in the net when defending a set piece. You don't want to go out, Mr. Flappy Hands.
“I like it when the ball is in play and it is good with the feet, but we have to resolve set pieces. Honestly, we're a pub team.
“Not good enough, buddy. It's not good enough.
“We can sit here and say we played well in some parts and we played good football and it's all been fun and exciting to watch, but you can't be losing 3-0 to Arsenal at home.
“It's not enough, you have to be harder to beat. You have to be more resilient. You can't go out and be 3-0 down against Arsenal at half-time. It's not good enough!
“Ange has to figure it out. She has to be – stop laughing – she has to be harder to beat and adapt her game somehow. We can't just be enthusiastic football fans. We can't just go play and say “that's who we are.” Come on, friend.
“Arsenal are difficult to beat, difficult to defeat and difficult to score, and we have to learn from that because we cannot continue playing that way.”
A hysterical Cundy enjoyed O'Hara's misery, but the die-hard Chelsea fan was also devastated to see Tottenham lose.
The former defender revealed he was actually a Spurs fan for the day, hoping London rivals Arsenal don't win the title.
Cundy said: “I went through this for 90 minutes. For the first time in my life. Is that what it feels like?”
“Is this what the last three decades have felt like? Disappointment. Frustration. You guys are trash!”
