Ian Wright loved some of Ben White's devious behavior during Arsenal's north London derby win over Tottenham.

“The way Vicario got upset was fucking brilliant, because he went straight to the ten and all he did was try to take the Velcro off his gloves.

“Vicar was fucking angry!”

And White's use of the dark arts didn't stop there as he targeted Vicario again in the build-up to Arsenal's third goal.

He retreated towards the goalkeeper to prevent him from coming to claim another dangerous corner from Arsenal, which allowed Kai Havertz to return home from a short distance.

The Emirates Stadium team endured a tense final few minutes after Spurs fought back with goals from Christian Romero and Son Heung-min in the second half, but held on to stay at the top of the league.

And Ben White wasn't the only player whose actions delighted Wright during the victory.

The Gunners' second-highest scorer in history also praised Bukayo Saka, who ogled at the Tottenham fans as he celebrated his team's first goal, after being goal of the local fans moments before.

They chanted 'You let your country down' to the extreme, in reference to his missed penalty for England in their Euro 2020 final loss to Italy, but Saka then exacted even more revenge when he scored in the 27th minute.

The former 185-goal scorer said cheerfully: “Do you know what I loved about Saka today, something I hadn't seen him do before?”

“Tottenham fans, when he took the corner for the first goal, were chanting: 'You've let your country down.'

“And then the corner went in. When we scored, he turned to them and covered his ears.

“That's what I want to see now. Levels.”

The Arsenal legend expects his team to use some more devious techniques to win the remaining matches, as they continue their bet on a first Premier League title in twenty years.
