Even Ian Wright believes Arsenal made two wrong decisions in the win over Bournemouth.

Ian Wright admitted Arsenal were lucky with two wrong decisions against Bournemouth.

The Gunners kept their title with a 3-0 victory over the Cherries, albeit with a couple of controversial decisions thrown their way.

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead from the penalty spot just before half-time after Kai Havertz won a penalty.

The German star was brought down inside the area by goalkeeper Mark Travers and after the VAR review the penalty was not annulled.

While Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice made it 3-0, Bournemouth had an Antoine Semenyo goal disallowed and Dominic Solanke was adjudged to have fouled David Raya.

As a result, the goal was disallowed and the VAR once again decided not to intervene in the on-field decision, despite the softness of the free kick.

Bournemouth also appealed for a foul on Philip Billing in the same phase of play.

As for X, even Arsenal legend Wright felt his beloved team got away with one or two.

He said: “I didn't think it was a penalty. Bournemouth's goal should have stood. Job done three points.”

Speaking about the post-match incidents, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: “The honest answer is that I haven't seen any of the incidents because I knew they would ask me. I did it on purpose.

“The analysts said do you want to see it and I said no, because then I can tell the truth.

“I haven't seen them so I can't comment or have an impression.

“David's foul, I can't see it because it's too far away. Bukayo's, was it on purpose or not?

“I don't know, it's so hard for me to judge.”
