As reported by Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.
It is understood that the Guinean international is on the list of potential incomings for BvB this summer, as the club looks to reinforce their attacking options ahead of next season. With Dortmund willing to listen to offers for Sébastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, Guirassy is seen as a crucial replacement for whoever departs the Westfalenstadion.
As well as this, an initial positive exchange between Dortmund and Guirassy’s representatives has already taken place. The 28-year-old can imagine a move to Die Schwarzgelben, but a final decision has yet to be made.
However, with 25 Bundesliga goals this season, BvB would be receiving one of the most in-form players in Europe. Only Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane has been able to record a better goal return than the Guinean international this campaign, but with an average of a goal every 81 minutes, he is only 3 minutes behind the Englishman’s average.
Therefore, it is little surprise that Dortmund are targeting the Stuttgart striker, who, if it were not for injuries, could have pushed Kane for the Kicker-Torjägerkanone this season. Nevertheless, Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle has suggested that Guirassy could be tempted to stay with Die Roten beyond this season, and a move away from the club is not a guarantee.
