Earlier this week, it was reported that Manchester United are lining up Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro as a possible replacement for the under fire Andre Onana. Remiro had another fine season in La Liga, and was also impressive in the Champions League as Real reached the knockout stage.

It's not just Man Utd who are keeping tabs on Remiro, either MD they have now reported that Chelsea are also interested in the 29-year-old, who will almost certainly go to this summer's European Championship with Spain.

Both clubs have already notified Remiro's representatives of their interest, and this has been relayed to La Real, who are said to be relaxed about the situation. They have a strong layer of protection, as their release clause is currently set at €70 million.

Chelsea already have Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sanchez as well as Djordje Petrovic in their ranks, but Remiro would certainly be an upgrade. It remains to be seen if he or Man Utd will try to enter into negotiations with Real society.
