Las Palmas are set to lose Alvaro Valles this summer, with the 26-year-old goalkeeper attracting strong interest from his former club Real Betis. Valles himself is very interested in a return to Benito Villamarin, which left the islanders in a situation, since his contract expires in 2025.
Despite this, Las Palmas will demand a significant amount to part with Valles. Brand have indicated that they will only entertain bids worth €12m or more, meaning Betis will need to splash out to secure his signature this summer.
Valles has had a phenomenal season, despite Las Palmas' significant drop in recent months. He has a very good save percentage (72%) and has the second best record in La Liga in terms of goals prevented (5.9, behind Valencia's Giorgi Mamardashvili).
To sign for Valles this summer, The Real Betis will need to generate funds. Securing European qualification will certainly help in this regard, but the sale may need to be made before we can enter into negotiations with The Palms.
