This season, Serhou Guirassy has been relentless in the Bundesliga. The Guniea international has scored a remarkable 29 goals in 29 competitive appearances for a Stuttgart side that have secured Champions League football for next season.
In what has undeniably been the best season in Guirassy’s career, the 28-year-old has garnered quite a reputation amongst Europe’s elite. However, in recent weeks, Borussia Dortmund have emerged as favourites to sign the Stuttgart striker ahead of next season.
Despite BvB identifying Guirassy as a key target, there were question marks surrounding how costly the marksman would be. Nonetheless, according to Bild, within Guirassy’s contract, there is an exit clause of just €18 million for Bundesliga clubs.
Therefore, while the 28-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2026, if Dortmund do come calling, then Stuttgart cannot price the Champions League finalists out of a deal. As well as this, due to BvB’s form in Europe, they will receive at least double the €18 million that Guirassy will cost in Champions League prize money.
However, while a deal is certainly affordable for Dortmund, Bayern Munich are also reported to be interested in the Guniea international. With interest in Guirassy understood to be high, Stuttgart will find it difficult to keep hold of their star striker this summer, even though they can still offer Guirassy Champions League football.
