Real Madrid 5-0 Alaves
Real Madrid may have already won the La Liga title, but they are not giving up in their quest for 99 points. They took another step towards that on Tuesday, after sweeping Alaves at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It was a quick start for the home team, and they found it open in 10 minutes. Toni Kroos' looping cross found Jude Bellingham, and he shockingly managed to lob the ball over Jesus Owono from an acute angle.
It was 2-0 before the half hour, that Vinicius Junior completed a nice team move. Eduardo Camavinga's cut-back found the Brazilian six yards out, and he made no mistake to double Real Madrid's lead. Just before half time, becomes three when Federico Valverde flew home from long distance.
Real Madrid slowed down in the second half, but they still found two goals. At first, Vinicius Junior fired home after being played back by Bellingham, before Arda Guler scored another goal for his growing collection.
This result takes Real Madrid to 93 points, and will be targeting two more wins against Villarreal and Real Betis in the final two matchdays, completing a very dominant La Liga season.
