Sporting director of Spain Albert Luque dismissed amid involvement in legal cases

Sports Director of Spain Albert Luke is one of four dismissals of directors that the president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President Pedro Rocha sanctioned. Luque was recently suspended due to his involvement in the ongoing corruption investigation and coercion charges against him, after former president Luis Rubiales kissed Jenni Hermoso without her consent.

According to Relief, There are more sackings, but Luque is among fgour major names including Director of Marketing Ruben Rivera, who is also involved in cases of corruption and coercion, Chief Legal Services Pedro Gonzalez Segura, and Head of Operations and Human Resources, Jose Javier Jimenez or Jota. All four have been suspended or reinstated since March 21 following the investigation in the RFEF for corruption.

This follows the dismissals of Andreu Camps (Secretary General), Tomas Gonzalez Cueto (External Legal Consultant), Miguel Garcia Caba (Director of Integrity) and Pablo Garcia Cuervo (Director of Communication), as Rocha tries to clean house , although some still see him as a candidate for continuity of Rubiales' reign, given that he was vice president under him.

FIFA is believed to be keeping a close eye on matters in the RFEF as the power struggle for Spanish football continues, with the Ministry of Sports also involved. Former Spain manager Vicente del Bosque was drafted in to oversee things until new elections are called after the Euro.
