As reported by The Telegraph, Arsenal are becoming increasingly confident in signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško.

According to the report, the Premier League outfit is looking to add further reinforcement to their frontline, an area that is considered to be a priority this summer. As well as this, compared to the other players in Mikel Arteta’s squad, Šeško’s 6’5″ frame would offer the Spaniard a different option in the attack.

However, if Arsenal are to land Šeško’s signature, then they will have to match his ever-increasing release clause. At the beginning of the campaign, the 20-year-old had a release clause of around €50 million, but due to playing bonuses that have since been met, as previously reported by GGFN, it has risen to €65 million.

Nevertheless, if the Gunners are to lure the Slovenian international away from Saxony, then they will need to act quickly. This is because it is understood that Šeško’s release clause could still raise a further €10 million, which would make a potential deal worth around €75 million.

With the form Šeško is in, there is no doubt that next season, the 20-year-old will be able to meet the bonuses within his deal. The Slovenian has netted in each of his previous six outings, resulting in a total of 17 goals and two assists in all competitions so far this campaign.

Regardless, Arsenal possess a significant interest in Šeško, and if they are to make an offer to Leipzig, then they will be in pole position to land the 20-year-old marksman.
