Enzo Maresca shared a trip with Graham Potter and now it seems that he will follow in his footsteps with the appointment of Chelsea
Just under a month ago, Enzo Maresca won the Championship title in his first season as Leicester City manager.
The Italian will compete in the Premier League next season but instead of doing so with foxesis ready to bring your experience to Chelsea.
talkSPORT understands the Blues want hire maresca as Mauricio Pochettino's successor after his departure by mutual agreement.
The current Leicester head coach is on track to be the third permanent appointment at Stamford Bridge since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed their takeover in 2022.
The first was the former Brighton boss. Graham Pottersomeone his potential new head coach is very familiar with, as they spent about a year and a half together in Western Brom.
Maresca was 18 when he joined the Baggies and learned a new culture in England, but it seems Potter lent him a hand.

“When you move, in my case from Italy to England straight to Birmingham, you can immediately adapt to the language and the country,” he said in The characteristic of Manchester City about him.
“My English was not that good and I also learned a lot when I was there, although I had difficulties at first, but then it worked out quite well.
“When I first joined the club, Denis Smith was in charge as coach and then Brian Little came in for a second year. With both I was very happy. They helped me a lot in terms of adapting to life and football. I was happy there.
“I also remember sharing lifts to train with Graham. “We played together, we lived very close and sometimes we drove together to the training ground.”
In September 2022, more than two decades since he and Maresca left West Brom as players, Potter was named Chelsea's new head coach.
He came on as a replacement for Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel and quickly made an impression, winning six of his first nine games.
However, Potter was sacked just seven months later and weeks before the Blues finished a dismal Premier League season in 12th place.
Now that Maresca will be Chelsea's next permanent boss following Pochettino's departure, he will hope to do better on the bench.
The west London team have spent around £1bn on transfers since their takeover two years ago but are yet to win any trophies.
Chelsea finished sixth this season and qualified for the Europa Conference League ahead of the new campaign, one in which fans will be desperate to see further progress.
Maresca arrives with previous Premier League experience as one of Pep Guardiola's coaches in City's treble-winning season.
The Championship title came to him at Leicester as he left the European champions, and the job at Chelsea was a reward for his success.
However, taking the reins of a blue team that is so desperate to win trophies will be a completely new challenge and a step forward for Maresca next season.
