Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso this summer.
The 28-year-old is expected to end his stay in north London which initially began in a season-long loan in 2019. The Argentina international, who has only a year left on his contract, failed to nail down a regular spot last term.
Ange Postecoglou handed the attacking midfielder 22 appearances in the Premier League but only four of his outings were from the start.
According to The Sun, Lo Celso is open to leaving in the upcoming transfer window and there are a number of clubs interested in acquiring his services.
They report, that among them is Aston Villa, whose manager Unai Emery signed the left footer on loan when he was boss of LaLiga outfit Villarreal in 2022.

Lo Celso enjoyed an 18-month loan spell with the LaLiga side beginning in January 2022. He helped the outfit reach the semi-final of the Champions League that season
The Spaniard is believed to be a huge fan of Lo Celso, who featured prominently for his side before he moved to Villa Park in the October of that year.
While at the Yellow Submarine, Lo Celso was a key part of the side that made it to the Champions League semi-final before they were dumped out of the competition by Liverpool.
Should Spurs be unwilling to let the player depart for a divisional rivals, Lo Celso’s former club Real Betis are another side interested in snapping him up. The midfielder signed for Spurs from the club for £27million in 2019 but there is some doubt over whether they could afford to bring him back to the south of Spain five years on.
During his time in the Premier League, Lo Celso has made only 108 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists.
Last term he found the net on only two occasions, though one of his strikes – a superb curling effort in Spurs’ 3-3 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad – will live long in the memory.
