Frank Lampard has turned down job offers but hints at imminent return to management
Frank Lampard has revealed to talkSPORT that he is ready to return to management after turning down jobs.
lamp He hasn't been in a job since his interim stint in charge of Chelsea Towards the end of last season, where he won just one game out of 11.
Since then, the former England international has been linked with various jobs. including Canada, Forest ranger and most recently Burnley.
But he has not yet assumed another managerial position, which would already be his fifth, after starting in Derby County in 2018.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT ahead of Soccer Aid on Sunday, Lampard said: “Some opportunities have come my way, they didn't seem right to me at the time. So sometimes I took that decision a little bit.”
“But now I feel ready, so we'll see what opportunities arise. I'm certainly ready to work. I love doing what I do, so we'll see.”
Aside from Derby and his interim spell at Chelsea, Lampard took full charge of the Blues in 2019 and lasted 18 months before being sacked with a 52 per cent win rate in 84 games.
The Chelsea legend, the club's all-time leading scorer, then moved on to Everton almost a year later, in January 2022, before being removed 12 months later.
It remains to be seen where Lampard could end up next, although the position in Burnley where it has been attached remains vacant.
The Clarets have also reportedly looked at Craig Bellamy and Scott Parker, although Lampard has admitted he is enjoying his time away from the game.

The 45-year-old said: “I would like to find the right opportunity. In a sense I enjoyed the break because football management takes over your life.”
“That's the beauty of it and sometimes you also realize that when you go out, it's about spending time with your family.
“I have a young family too, that's important. So it's been nice.”
Lampard's immediate return to the bench will take place at Stamford Bridge for the third time, although this time it will be for Soccer Aid.
The former midfielder will join Harry Redknapp and Robbie Williams on the bench as England's XI takes on the World XI.
You will also see Mauricio Pochettino return to Chelsea as coachhis first public appearance since leaving the club last month.
