Patrick Vieira admitted he “couldn't stand” Gary Neville as he revealed the cause of his famous tunnel clash with Roy Keane.

He added: “I felt like you went too far against him. Robert was very kind, he just stepped forward, but he's too kind to complain. And I think at that point you went too far and it was too much and it was very obvious.”

Vieira then joked: “Obviously because United controlled all the referees and all that… so you had so much power that you were allowed to do what you really wanted to do.”
