Barcelona star Yamal plates was excited to make his European Championship debut in Spain win 3-0 over Croatia.
The Red raced into a three-goal half-time lead in Berlin as they simply topped group rivals Croatia in their Group B opener.
Despite not being 17 until the end of the tournament, Luis de la Fuente attached to his plan to start Lamine Yamal, and provided an assist for Dani Carvajal's first international goal.
There was almost a fairytale moment in the second half, as the teenager was denied a goal, which would have made him the youngest goalscorer in the history of the tournament alongside the youngest creator of the appearance
He will break that record too if he scores in the coming weeks and offered an assured assessment of the game in his post-match interview.
“I'm so happy to win, and to make my debut, but now we're thinking about the next game. I'm here to help the team, in defense and in attack, where I'm needed,” according to reports from Brand.
“We were very efficient today because of the months of hard work we did.”
Next up for de la Fuente's team is a clash with holders Italy on June 20 in Gelsenkirchen.
