What do Mykhailo Mudryk's tattoos mean? Chelsea and Ukraine star covered in religious ink with faith a key part of his character
Chelsea ace Mykhailo Mudryk will look to star for Ukraine at Euro 2024 and the winger has a large collection of interesting tattoos.
Mudryk has had a disappointing season so far at Chelsea after his £88 million move from Shakhtar Donetsk.
But he will be Ukraine's main weapon in the European Championship when they face Belgium, Slovakia and Romania in Group E.
What do Mudryk's tattoos mean?
Mudryk has several tattoos spread across his body and many of them are deeply related to religion.
One of the main inks that stands out is the one on Mudryk's neck.
It reads “Jesus Only,” with an infinity sign placed right above it.
The 22-year-old's main pieces are engraved on his body and some of them also appear to have religious connections.
The one on the right side of his body is another linked to Christianity and is a passage that contains a letter to God.
It says, “Dear God, if I lose hope today, remind me that your plans are better than my dreams.”
And on the other side of his chest, there is a heart and a soccer ball tattooed.
This tattoo is self-explanatory and is clearly directly related to Mudryk's love of football.
He has “Talent is not enough” written on his throat and there are also two tattoos on the back of his left and right arm.
The Ukraine international also has several pieces tattooed on his hands and they all have clear connections to Mudryk's faith.
He has a cross tattooed on his left thumb and then the letters 'F' and 'E' inscribed on the inside of his right and left palm.
When you put these two together in the form of a sentence, it creates the Portuguese word for “faith.”
And on one of his right fingers are written the words 'Thank you God'.
And the striker also has the word “Again” written six times on his right leg, which is probably serves as inspiration for Mudryk to continue improving more and more.
Clearly, faith and religion play a big role in Mudryk's life and he has expressed that faith in the form of some unique tattoos.
