Barca Atletic have the chance to secure promotion back to Segunda for the first time since 2018 if they beat Cordoba in Sunday's play-off final at Nuevo Arcangel, and the front line for Rafael Marquez will be. Pau Victor. The on-loan Girona striker has scored 20 goals for Barca Atletic this season, and is the top scorer – the Blaugrana want to keep him.
Victor had an option to buy in his €4m deal but failed to activate it before April when his option expired. They still want to keep it, though, and MD they say their latest bid to do so will include first-team veterans Oriol Romeo, who is likely to leave the club this summer. The 32-year-old has struggled for most of the season, and sporting director Quique Carcel and manager Michel Sanchez at Girona have expressed an interest in recovering. Meanwhile, the agents of both players say there is no reason to think the two deals will be intertwined.
Barcelona will declare only six players as non-transferable. @ferrancorreas
They are: Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, Fermín and Ter Stegen.

What happens to Victor then remains to be seen. Barcelona could well hold on to Atletico if they are promoted to Segunda, but he looks unlikely to get a chance in the first team, with Marc Guiu and Vitor Roque very likely to back up Robert Lewandowski. On the other hand, Barcelona can simply see this as a chance to make a quick sale for Victor, whose value continues to grow.
