Cole Palmer sends one-word message to 'Little Messi' Estevao Willian after new Chelsea teammate copies celebration
Cole Palmer appears to have already made a new best friend following Chelsea's deal for Estevao Willian.
The Blues completed £56m deal for the Brazilian prodigy who will arrive from Palmeiras next summer.
Although there is a year to wait Chelsea fans to see their new signing in action, that hasn't stopped the excitement over his arrival.
Considered one of South America's next big prospects, the 17-year-old is nicknamed 'Messinho', or 'Little Messi', due to his height and quality on the ball.
That was evident in Palmeiras' last victory by scoring a goal that helped his team beat Juventude 3-1 in Brazil's Serie A.
After scoring his goal, Estevao performed a familiar goal celebration as he emulated Palmer's “cold” gesture while rubbing his arms and puffing out his cheeks.
The celebration has become something of a trademark for Palmer after he and now Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers came up with the celebration during their time together at city of manchester.
After scoring for Palmeiras, Estevao wrote: “Another incredible night, victory, goal, congratulations to the entire team, we continue!! God knows all things.”
Palmer then shared the image of the 17-year-old's celebration on her Instagram Story with the simple caption: “Soon,” accompanied by a winking emoji.
The prospect of seeing Estevao and Palmer in the same Chelsea team will be very exciting for the fans at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer scored 25 goals and racked up 15 assists for the Blues in his debut season and by the time the Brazilian star arrives next summer, the England star is likely to be one of the Premier League's most impactful attacking stars.
The 22-year-old will face a tough challenge in Chelsea's first game of the season when he faces his former club Man City on the opening weekend of the season.
