Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham could be at the center of a transfer dispute between three Premier League clubs, talkSPORT understands.
The 18-year-old young man, brother of the English hero. Judas – enjoyed an excellent inaugural season at the Stadium of Light following its move from Birmingham last summer.
He contributed seven goals and one assist in 45 championship games to help the black cats until finishing in 16th place.
It was an impressive figure since Teen considering that he was deployed as a forward, as well as in the offensive and defensive midfield positions.
And the England youth international's form has sparked interest from top-flight teams, including crystal Palace, Brentford and Southampton.
Although Sunderland are determined to retain the player and have put an asking price of at least £20m in the hope of deterring potential suitors.
Following the end of the 2023/23 Championship campaign, Bellingham spoke about his future and reflected on his first year in red and white.
And in a possible blow to his fans, he hinted that he would be interested in continuing his development on Wearside.
Commenting on his goals for next season, Bellingham joked that he can't wait to play in the club's new kits.
He told Sunderland's press department: “Obviously I've seen the kits, which is probably the most exciting thing at the moment.
“Because obviously they're amazing. But no, I don't have any set goals. That will be in the summer, when we go back to preseason, really.
“I think that's the best way to do it, just focus on what's in front of you.”
Pressed about their plans to improve. He commented: “When you're someone like me, you just want to reach the next milestone and keep getting better and better.
“I feel pretty desperate to improve and stuff. And sometimes it can make me a little impatient, but it's definitely something important to look back on and be proud of yourself, really.
“Because there are things I should be proud of myself. But at the same time, I don't want to sit still and just look at the past.
“I want to make sure I keep getting better and keep getting better. But definitely, at the end of the season, I can look back and be proud.”
Bellingham is currently in Germany cheering on his brother and the Three Lions at Euro 2024, where he was spotted in the stands alongside his parents.
