UEFA's disciplinary committee has opened an investigation Jude Bellingham, after making a potentially lewd gesture towards Slovakia's bank. Bellingham explained that he was not related to his opponents, but is now at the mercy of UEFA.

Bellingham came up with a brilliant overhead kick to equalize England in stoppage time against Slovakia, and after the celebration, as he walked back, he appeared to blow a kiss in the direction of the Slovakia bench before gesturing to their genitals.

The Real Madrid star took to Twitter explain that it was an inside joke intended for his friends, and was not mentioned in the report of the referees. However, after UEFA announced investigations against the English FA for disturbances and fraud, it also issued the following statement, as per AS Diary.

“In addition, a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation into a possible violation of the basic rules of decent behavior by the player of the English Football Association, Jude Bellingham, allegedly occurring in the framework of this match”.

If he is found guilty of breaching decent behaviour, then he could miss the Euro 2024 quarter-finals against Switzerland. SkySports explain that there is a good chance that the investigation will not end before the game though, and it is much more likely that he will receive a fine than a ban.
