Ipswich are confident of winning the race for Hull star Jaden Philogene, talkSPORT understands.
The Tractor Boys are aiming to make a double attempt to land talented winger and Tigers team-mate Jacob Greaves in a deal worth around £35million.
West Ham and Everton are also interested at Philogene, while Greaves has already been given permission to undergo a medical at Portman Road.
Ipswich are looking to strengthen their squad after securing promotion to the Premier League, their second promotion in two seasons under Kieran McKenna.
Having already signed Ben Johnson from West Ham and Omari Hutchinson in a bumper move from Chelsea, Greaves would offer another ball-playing option in central defence.
Having made his first-team debut at Cheltenham, Greaves joined Hull in 2020 and has made 177 appearances as a left-sided centre-back.
As for Philogene, he is a product of the Aston Villa youth system and enjoyed loan spells with Cardiff and Stoke City, before joining Hull last summer for an undisclosed fee.
Since then he has scored 12 goals for Tigres, including A candidate for the 'goal of the century' against Rotherham United.
While Premier League interest has been growing, there have also been reports of interest from Barcelona regarding a blockbuster move to the Nou Camp.
Speaking to talkSPORT, city Casco President Acun Ilicali has admitted he would never stand in the way of anyone asking him to leave the club.

Asked if Barca were really interested in Philogene, Acun replied: “Yes, it's all true. But I told my fans that I wouldn't sign anyone.”
“My idea in football is not to make money, my idea is to make a stronger and bigger club. But to make a bigger club, sometimes if a player says 'I want to go', that is a different case.
“For me, a player change is not the end of the world. But my players would never want to hold back their careers or their movements because of a contract I have.
“So in that case, if Jaden wants to move and says he wants to go somewhere, that's something we can't do too much about because this is his life.
“I love all my boys and I'm responsible for their careers. So they don't have to play with us if they don't want to.”
