Over the weekend, Ronald Araujo suffered a hamstring injury during Uruguay's Copa America quarter-final win over Brazil. It has been confirmed that he will no longer play in the tournament, with the expectation that he will also miss the start of the 2024-25 season for Barcelona.
The first reports stated that Araujo would miss 1-2 months with the injury, but now, it is difficult for Barcelona to understand how severe the problem of their defender. It is because the preliminary medical tests have come back inconclusive, as reported by Matteo Moretto.
Ronald Araujo's injury problem.
After initial tests, the extent of the injury is still unknown. There is still too much blood and it is hard to understand the real damage.
Ronald will take the next tests at the end of the Copa América.

Due to the accumulation of blood in the affected area in Araujo's leg, the wound has not been fully defined. Further tests will be carried out next week, and it is hoped that there will be a clearer picture defined at that stage. Until then, Araujo remains with Uruguay in the United States, with no plans for him to return to Catalonia.
It is incredibly frustrating for Araujo to have suffered another injury problem, especially as it means he will miss out on helping Uruguay win the Copa America. Barcelona will be concerned that they do not yet know how long it will be without one of their most important actors.
