The departure of Xavi Hernandez will bring changes to the team of Barcelona – Matteo Moretto
Barcelona is just starting to prepare for the next season, as the Director Sporting Deco and the president Joan Laporta try to find out what it looks like under a new manager. For the players too, it could have consequences, as Xavi Hernandez had been key in deciding the future of a number of players.
According to Matteo Morettotalking to The Daily Briefing, Xavi's departure will mean changes to the team, following reports that Sergi Roberto is unlikely to be offered a new renewal at the club. Roberto doesn't earn much at Barcelona, and with his salary cap set to have a big impact on his summer again, Moretto says sales are likely for the Blaugrana this summer.

So far, the only high-profile player to have been sold for big money since Joan Laporta's return to the club was Ousmane Dembele, who Deco admitted it was against Xavi's will. Otherwise, they have avoided major sales despite tight finances, but it looks like they could be forced into more painful departures this summer.
