As reported by Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are hopeful of signing Desire Doué from Stade Rennes.
It is understood that the 19-year-old is keen on moving to Bavaria this summer and recently held talks with Bayern regarding a move away from Ligue 1.
As well as this, according to French newspaper Le Parisien, Der Rekordmeister have already submitted a bid for Doué’s services.
However, as stated in the report, Stade Rennes are said to have rejected Bayern’s €35 million offer. The Ligue 1 outfit are demanding up to €60 million for the talented youngster.
Nevertheless, as suggested by Sky Germany, it is currently unknown as to whether the record champions did submit an official bid for Doué. This is because Bayern would be required to sell players before they look to buy after the recent arrivals of João Palhinha and Michael Olise.
Regardless, the two clubs are in contact over a possible transfer this summer. Bayern do face competition in the form of PSG, but as it stands, Der Rekordmeister are in pole position for Doué’s signature.
