Jürgen Klopp has been given a new job at Liverpool two months after stepping down as manager
Jürgen Klopp has continued his links with Liverpool after agreeing to become an honorary ambassador for the club's charity, the LFC Foundation.
Klopp the curtain fell on his nine-year term as Liverpool boss in May after guiding the Reds to the Premier League title, Champions League and FA Cup.
Dutch Arne's Slot He was brought in to replace the German ahead of next season as Klopp decided to take a well-deserved break from football.
Although no longer part of the Anfield management team, Liverpool are keen to maintain links with Klopp, who was a supporter of the LFC Foundation during his time at the club.
He took part in a number of events in support of the charity, including meetings at the club's training ground and attending fundraising events.
Speaking about his new role, Klopp said: “The LFC Foundation does incredible work in the community, both in the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
“I'm very proud to continue my work with them and to be named the first ever LFC Foundation Honorary Ambassador. I look forward to seeing what we can do with that now that I have more free time.”
LFC Foundation chief executive Matt Parish expressed his delight at Klopp's continued connection with the Merseyside club.
“We are delighted that Jurgen will continue to support the Foundation as our first honorary ambassador,” he said.
“Their support has been invaluable to us over the years and to see it continue is fantastic and highlights their commitment to the Foundation and the work we continue to do across the Liverpool City Region.

“Jurgen’s love and passion for the city has been clear throughout his time at the club and having his support and voice to champion the work we do going forward can only benefit us.”
The LFC Foundation has provided over £65 million in health benefits and delivered over £16 million to the local economy.
Liverpool's annual legends match also donates its proceeds to the Foundation, with this year's matches against Ajax (where former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was coach) raising a record £1.2m.
