According to Sky Germany, AC Milan are interested in Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug.
It is understood that the impending transfer of Serhou Guirassy is putting pressure on Füllkrug regarding his future at the Westfalenstadion. With clubs showing interest from Spain and Italy, the former Werder Bremen striker is certainly in demand.
However, the latest side to show temptation in Füllkrug is AC Milan. The seven-time Champions League winners are looking to sign two strikers this summer, with current Atlético de Madrid marksman Álvaro Morata their prime target.
Nevertheless, the Serie A side has yet to conduct concrete talks and has only loosely inquired with Füllkrug’s management. The 31-year-old is not concerned by the situation and is hopeful of remaining at BvB this summer.
With new head coach Nuri Şahin now in charge at Dortmund, discussions have already taken place with Füllkrug about his position in the side. There is a strong sense that Şahin wants to use two strikers in his starting XI this season, meaning that Füllkrug will undoubtedly have a place in the team.
This will, however, not stop Dortmund from considering selling the 31-year-old should a lucrative offer be made.
