Arsenal fans continue to laugh at Jamie Carragher and Piers Morgan insists his pain over the celebration makes him better.
Arsenal fans are still laughing at Jamie Carragher as Piers Morgan twists the knife further into the Liverpool legend.
Arsenal claimed a crucial 3-1 victory on Liverpool on Sunday to jump back into the title race, being two points behind the league leader.
It was only the second time Jurgen Klopp have tasted defeat in the Premier League this season, with Tottenham's 2-1 win in September their only other defeat.
And at full time at the Emirates, Arsenal celebrated wildly by claiming a huge scalp with Martin Odegaard coming under fire, particularly by Carragher on Sky Sports.
“Just go down the tunnel,” he said live. “You've won a game, three points. They've been brilliant, back in the title race… go down the tunnel.”
As well as venting in the Sky Sports studio, the Liverpool legend continued ranting on social media, even changing his X profile picture to that of Odegaard taking a photo with a camera crew.
But that has only added extra cherry on top for many Arsenal fans, who revel in Carragher's problems.
And that includes Arsenal supporter and TalkTV presenter Morgan, who attacked the former England international on social media.
He posted a video of Odegaard taking the photo: “Calm down, calm down @Carra23, we hit you and we're going to enjoy every second.”
Referencing Morgan's infamous moment when he stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain, Carragher responded: “I almost left the studio!”
Morgan responded with laughing emojis: “Your pain only increases the joy.”
Carragher had posted on Sunday night, referencing a Neil Warnock joke: “Of course enjoy it, but enjoy it being disciplined!”
And that sparked an avalanche of messages from Arsenal fans calling the former defender a member of the 'celebration police'.
One fan responded: “You're hurting Carra, put the phone down and sleep.”
Another wrote: “You're nervous boy.”
And a third posted: “Why are you so bitter every time Arsenal win? You can give it your all but the moment the tables turn you can't take it.”
Arsenal did dominate against Liverpool, who arrived at the Emirates in good shape after the win Chelsea 4-1 on Wednesday.
An early goal from Bukayo Saka set the pace before disastrous defensive confusion He gave Liverpool the equalizer on the stroke of half-time.
TO howler in the back of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson gave Arsenal the lead after the break before a fine solo goal from Leandro Trossard in injury time secured the result.
