Olmo has a €60m release clause in his RB Leipzig contract, although it is set to expire this weekend. However, it is expected that its asking price will remain in this region, as reported by Sport.
Leipzig feel “indebted” to Olmo, who rejected a lucrative offer from Manchester City last summer. Because of this, they are happy to keep their asking price at around 60 million euros, and the expectation is that Barcelona could use it to include add-ons to reach this amount, making it easier after their problems financial.
Despite this, Barcelona will need to facilitate at least one or two significant sales to be able to afford Olmo – this is especially the case when you take into account that Nico Williams will be sought first. Before all this, they also need to raise the necessary funds to return to the 1:1 rule of La Liga.
