Lazio make the proposal of Vitor Roque to Barcelona – the Brazilian most interested in the offer

Barcelona have already looked to ship Brazilian striker Vitor Roque after just six months at the club, having spent €30m on the 19-year-old. Their financial situation means that rather than trying to nurture the player they want, they are trying to get their money back.

Roque does not want to move to Saudi Arabia as things stand, and the news was that he had rejected an offer from Al-Hilal. This was a blow for Barcelona, as the Saudi side was willing to meet their price of 40 million euros for Roque.

He may be more willing to consider a move to Europe, however, and while Porto have yet to come full circle in his interest, Barcelona have received an offer from Lazioas reported by Il Messaggero, and brought by Sport. They still won't come close to the €40 million asking price, but they will be willing to offer €20 million for 50% of his rights, meaning the Blaugrana will receive half of any future fees.

Several La Liga teams are interested in a loan deal for Roque, with Real Betis the most keen, but as things stand, Barcelona would prefer a departure to finance other attacking recruits. If Nico Williams or Dani Olmo arrive, Roque and then Ansu Fati are at the top of the list of players Barcelona want to leave.

Essentially it would take a leap of faith from Barcelona to believe that Lazio would receive at least €20 million for Roque in any future sale. Their lack of belief in Roque is perhaps the biggest bargaining tool against them, but their agent Andre Cury is keen on a move.
