According to Sky Germany, Paris Saint-Germain are trying to convince Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich to leave Bavaria.
It had previously been reported that Kimmich’s relationship with Der Rekordmeister has completely collapsed after the German international felt as though Bayern betrayed him during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This has, therefore, led to the record champions placing the midfielder on the transfer list this summer. Amid speculation on Kimmich’s future, PSG have consistently stated their interest in luring the 29-year-old to the French capital.
It is understood that PSG are hopeful of securing Kimmich’s services, but it is unclear when they plan to do so. Despite showing interest in signing the former RB Leipzig midfielder this summer, there are suggestions that they may wait until 2025, when Kimmich could leave Bayern on a free transfer.
The record champions are aware of the Parisian’s interest, and PSG head coach Luis Enrique is also keen on making the transfer official. However, the German international has not yet been convinced about moving to Paris.
Kimmich is said to be happy in Bavaria and is reluctant to move his family away. Those in charge at Bayern will sit down with Kimmich and discuss his future in the coming days, and despite PSG’s interest, it cannot be ruled out that Kimmich remains a Bayern Munich player.
