It has been made known that Barcelona are confident that they can sign RB Leipzig and the star of Spain Dani Olmo this summer, as his interest seems to have cooled in Nico Williams. However RB Leipzig may have other ideas.
Leipzig have a gentlemen's agreement with Olmo to accept an offer of his now-expired release clause of €60m, and they believe one of their suitors will pay that amount for him. In Spain, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been mentioned as contenders, but Olmo would prefer to sign for Barcelona. The Blaugrana offered 40 million euros plus 20 million euros in variables, which was rejected, but only out of courtesy. Sport say that Leipzig found the offer insulting, and only at the request of Olmo's agents did they respond to Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola (Manchester City coach): “I really liked Flick's Barça. The season is long, but I liked it. His positional play is extraordinary, the forwards act like wings, the insiders reach the front , the defenders attack the backs”. Via @mondu sportiu

Meanwhile Relief say that Barcelona has no intention of reaching that asking price. The Catalan giants feel they can negotiate Olmo's €60 million fee. All the same, Leipzig has little need to lower their demands. Until Barcelona sort out their finances, it looks like little will happen anyway.
The 26-year-old is a more natural number 10 but will presumably come from the left for Barcelona, with Pedri, Fermin Lopez and Ilkay Gundogan already in contention for that spot. Olmo will prioritize a move to Barcelona, but if no agreement can be found, Bayern will no doubt present an attractive offer for him as well.
