Jonathan Tah’s transfer to Bayern Munich is back on

According to Florian Plettenberg, a deal for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah to join Bayern Munich is back on.

Over the course of the summer, Der Rekordmeister’s pursuit of the German international has been well documented. However, in recent weeks, it had appeared as though the transfer was close to being called off.

Nevertheless, as stated in the report, Bayern’s most recent offer of €20 million with €5 million in add-ons is still on the table. As well as this, Die Werkself are said to have moved away from their demand of €35–€40 million.

It is understood that Leverkusen have made this decision, as Tah has reiterated the fact that he will refuse to sign any contract extension offered to him by the club. Tah’s deal at the BayArena is set to expire next summer, meaning he would be able to leave on a free transfer in twelve months.

Therefore, Leverkusen will make their decision soon. But it is believed that an agreement of €30 million—split into a €25 million up-front fee with €5 million in add-ons—could be made between the two clubs in the coming days.
