According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich will be without Leroy Sané for the start of the new Bundesliga season.
Towards the back end of last season, and at Euro 2024, the 28-year-old saw his performances affected by a recurring groin injury; however, he decided against surgery to ensure that he would be able to represent Germany at Euro 2024.
However, as previously reported, the former Schalke winger has since undergone successful groin surgery.
Therefore, those in charge at Bayern have accepted that they will be without the German international for their opening fixtures, as they want to ensure he makes a full recovery.
Nevertheless, Harry Kane is expected to be back in Munich next week, having also struggled with injury over the past few months.
The England captain is said to have recovered after an extended holiday and will feature for Der Rekordmeister in their second pre-season friendly against his former club, Tottenham Hotspur.
