Erik ten Hag hints at surprising new role for Jadon Sancho as Manchester United boss makes major confession
Jadon Sancho could be handed a surprise new role at Manchester United at the start of the Premier League season.
Sancho started for the Red Devils in their 3-0 pre-season friendly defeat to Liverpool in their final game of their tour of the United States.
The extreme Clear conversations were held in the air with Erik ten Hag this summer after a highly publicized dispute.
Sancho has not played a competitive game for United since last year after accused Ten Hag of lying on the reason for his absence from the squad that faced Arsenal last September.
He went on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2023/24 season but rejoined United this summer.
With Rasmus Hojlund now injured, Ten Hag has hinted that he could play as a false nine to start the season.

Manchester United will face Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley next Saturday.
Ten Hag said: “That's what we can do if we don't have Rasmus' availability.
“We know he can play on the wings, but he is also an option as a false striker.
“But of course Joshua Zirkzee, he is coming, he has started training.
“But you have to take into account that he has not been training for that long, so it will take time, and he has to adapt to English football and also to our way of playing.

“And of course there is Jadon as a striker.”
Sancho himself is happy to be back at United, telling MUTV: “Definitely, 100 per cent. 100 per cent, yes.
“It’s been nice, enjoying the weather, getting back with the lads, it’s been good. I love the facilities in the States.
“Obviously, when I have free time, I usually come to the States. In fact, this is one of the places where I train before the preseason, so it’s nice to be back. I wouldn’t say it’s my home, but yes, it’s a good facility.”
