According to Florian Plettenberg, Hoffenheim have agreed to sign Le Havre defender Étienne Youté Kinkoué.
It is understood that Le Havre have accepted a bid from the Bundesliga outfit for a fee reported to be within the region of €5–€6 million.
As well as this, the 22-year-old defender is expected to sign a long-term contract for Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side.
As stated in the report, should everything go according to plan, Kinkoué will undergo his medical at Hoffenheim within the next 48 hours before being announced as the club’s newest signing.
Last season, the former Inter Milan youth academy product featured 24 times for Le Havre as the French side successfully battled against relegation from Ligue 1.
Despite Kinkoué’s potential arrival, Hoffenheim will not stop in their pursuit of Southampton centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap, who, as recently reported by Get German Football News, is expected to sign for Die Kraichgauer in the coming days.
