Barcelona star Fermin Lopez wants to complete an Olympic and Euro 2024 gold double tonight.
Lopez has played a key role in Spain's march to the gold medal final at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as they prepare to take on hosts France.
The midfielder has scored four goals so far in the tournament, including three in the knockout stages with one each against Japan and Morocco.
Despite only playing a substitute role in Spain's games in their Euro 2024 title win, Lopez has been praised for his support off the pitch, and should be a starter in Paris.
All eyes will be on the Parc des Princes for the final showdown and Lopez is confident that Spain can achieve their goal in the French capital.
“It's a dream to be able to achieve a double like that. I'm very excited and eager to do it. Let's see if it can happen,” as Marca quotes.
“We are also a family. In the locker room we have a great group of people. We help each other a lot on the field and this is evident in the games.”
Regardless of the result in France, Lopez will be given an extended break before Barcelona's return The League action in Valencia on August 17.
He is not expected to return to club business until mid-September.
