Chelsea set to beat Tottenham to Pedro Neto deal as Wolves agree £51m deal to sell highly-rated star
Pedro Neto will undergo a medical at Chelsea after Wolves accepted a bid worth £51.4million plus bonuses, talkSPORT understands.
Portuguese international Neto has now reached a personal agreement with the Blues.
Tottenham saw an offer for the 24-year-old rejected by Neto, who was willing to offer Oliver Skipp as part of the deal.
Chelsea He also made a player-plus-cash offer before the cash offer was accepted on Friday.
He is scheduled to undergo a medical examination on Saturday to complete the transfer.
The 24-year-old played 20 times in the Premier League last season and was sidelined for a time due to two separate injuries.
He scored two goals and registered nine assists, attracting interest from Arsenal and Tottenham in the process.
Neto has a contract in Wolves which will run until the end of the 2027 season, having signed a new agreement in 2022.
The Portuguese international has been a long-term target for Tottenham but their London rivals beat them to the punch to sign him.
Neto joined Wolves in 2019 from Braga for around £18m and will receive around three times as much in return.
He has made 135 appearances and scored 14 goals since joining.
He will become ChelseaThe eighth signing of the summer under new coach Enzo Maresca.
The club is also working on a deal to sign striker Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid.
There have also been significant outlays with the signing of Conor Gallagher to Atlético for around 35 million pounds.
Maresca, who was signed from Leicester this summer, criticised the profit and sustainability rules (PSR) which meant the club had to sell academy graduates.

He said: “I also think the club's intention is not to sell academy players but in the end the rules are that it has to be done.
“It's not just us, it's all the Premier League clubs. It's a shame because in Italy we have Totti at Roma, 20 years at the same club. A one-club man – we love that in football, the fans want to see that. But with the current rules it's different to before.”
“It's not just Chelsea who spend money on players. It's all the big clubs who try to sign players.
“Some clubs spend more, others less. My personal opinion is that it's a shame because we like to see one player, but the rules are different.”
Chelsea begin their Premier League season against Manchester City on Sunday 18 August.
