Youssoufa Moukoko’s desire to leave Borussia Dortmund is well documented, and now Ligue 1 duo Olympique Marseille and Lille are close to meeting Borussia Dortmund’s valuation of the German forward.
As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, after unsuccessful attempts to sign Moukoko, Marseille and Lille are now closer to meeting Dortmund’s asking price. The 18-year-old forward played just 613 minutes in the Bundesliga last season and with the arrival of Serhou Guirassy, is unlikely to find the minutes that he desires and with the imminent arrival of Maximilian Beier, BVB would allow Moukoko to depart the club.
But any club wishing to sign Moukoko is expected to pay around €20m with both Marseille and Lille looking to strengthen their attack. Speaking via RN, Sebastian Kehl said: “We are not letting ourselves be carried away and we know the value of some players.”
Once one of the hottest talents in football, Moukoko and Borussia Dortmund just hasn’t worked out as planned.
