How much have Arsenal spent on Mikel Arteta?
Since Arteta was appointed Arsenal manager in December 2019, the club has spent just under £600m.
Before the start of the 2024 summer transfer window, the Spaniard had spent £545m on players.

The club have thus backed their manager in his quest for the Premier League title, and there has been a vast improvement at Arsenal since Arteta replaced Unai Emery.

If we discount players signed on loan, the Gunners have made 26 permanent signings since Arteta's arrival.
This includes players who joined on loan and then saw their transfers made permanent.
So it's been a good number, and in that time a lot of big names have left, such as Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The most expensive
Arsenal's most expensive signing by far has been Declan Rice.
The Gunners have agreed a £105million deal to sign the England international in the summer of 2023 after several years of consideration.
Rice even turned down a transfer to Manchester City to make that move across London from West Ham.
Since arriving, Rice has become an important player for Arteta and the Gunners.
Better
There are quite a few contenders for this one, with Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes are proving to be standout signings.
However, buying Martin Odegaard It was a stroke of genius after turning his initial loan into a permanent deal.
Since joining the club as a full-time player from Arsenal, the Norwegian has become one of the Premier League's best players, and the £30m fee appears to be a bargain.
Odegaard has also proven to be a great captain.
There is room for improvement
There haven't been many players signed by Arteta who haven't worked out and are still at Arsenal.
But Fabio Vieira has been a disappointing purchase.
The Portuguese midfielder has had physical problems during his time at the Emirates.
Plus, even when he's fit, he often ends up on the bench.
