Chelsea close to Joao Felix deals as the structure is defined with Atletico Madrid
The Joao Felix-Conor Gallagher affair is nearing its conclusion. Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, after an incredibly cold and tense first phase, resumed concrete conversations on the matter.
Atletico really want Gallagher through the door, and the English footballer himself wants to continue his career in Madrid. He spoke with manager Diego Simeone, and is excited about his new adventure.
On the side, Felix has said yes to Chelsea, and will drop his salary to return to England and the Premier League. The two clubs outline the structure of the deal, between a fixed fee and bonus. Ultimately, Chelsea wants to pay less than 45 million euros as a fixed part for the Portuguese playmaker, and works for a fee around 40, plus bonuses. Gallagher's valuation remains similar to what was previously agreed, i.e. around €42M. The clubs have finalized the agreement.
Barcelona works on three priority exits – the return to the transfer market is possible
After spending a lot on Dani Olmo, Barcelona is currently working on the departures of Vitor Roque, Mikayil Faye and Clement Lenglet. For now, they are the priority goals for the Director Sporting Deco and the club.
Now, Deco works specifically on exits first as opposed to any potential additions, and then Barcelona possibly back on the market once you complete one of these loans. The main goal for Barcelona is to reduce his salary and slim down the squad for Hansi Flick.
Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion is no closer to clarity on future since Chelsea deal collapse
Many clubs such as Samu Omorodion and Atetico Madrid are only willing to consider a permanent transfer for him at this point. In addition, it must be a tentative offer in terms of finances. In Italy, some clubs like Napoli, if they can't bring Romelu Lukaku, which is their priority in front, or Juventus, have asked for information about him, but nothing more.
In Spain there are many clubs who wanted to sign Omorodion this summer, but all on loan. In Germany, I can reveal that Bayer Leverkusen is not the only party that has asked either. It is a situation that is evolving, but for now, nothing has been resolved yet.
