Jamie Vardy speaks out on brutal taunt to Tottenham fans over title win following Leicester heroics
Scoring goals, taunting opposing fans and telling the opposition to fuck off… welcome back to the Premier League, Jamie Vardy.
He 37 years old He headed Leicester's equaliser against Tottenham in the 57th minute, just moments after being seen drinking a can of Red Bull in the tunnel.
Vardy He recovered remarkably from his injury to be able to start that match and was the center of everything.
He received his fair share of abuse from the Tottenham fans throughout the match and, in true Jamie Vardy style, responded just as effectively.
As he walked off the pitch in the second half, he pointed to the Premier League crest on his shirt and then made a 1-0 gesture towards the visiting Spurs supporters.
Of course, Vardy won the Premier League with the Foxes, while Tottenham have never won one.
Coming off the pitch as a substitute for Stephy Mavididi in the 79th minute, Cristian Romero was annoyed by the slowness with which Vardy left the pitch.
This led the former England international to clearly tell the Argentine defender to “go fuck himself.”
Asked about his banter with Spurs fans travelling to the stadium, Vardy told Sky Sports: “You get some criticism during the game. As long as they can take it back when they give it back, it's all good.”
The veteran striker continues to prove he is the man for the moment, despite Leicester's early struggles.
Spurs dominated the first half at the King Power Stadium in their opening Premier League game.
Pedro Porro deservedly put the visitors ahead when he guided his header into the bottom right corner after being set up by James Maddison.

But they had to pay for their wastefulness in front of goal, which saw the newly promoted Leicester score with his first shot on goal.
The goal means Vardy has now scored eight goals on the opening weekend of a Premier League campaign.
Only Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah has more – the Egyptian striker scored a record ninth goal during the Reds' 2-0 win over Ipswich.
Vardy has now extended his record of having scored the most Premier League goals while in his thirties, having scored 104.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the draw, Vardy said: “We spoke at half-time. Tottenham are very good but we gave them too much respect.”
“I got off to a good start and that changed the pace. I was very calm.

“We said we shouldn't concede any more goals and that we should give ourselves a good chance. We got the point and we move on.”
As for his future in football, he added: “I see it as just a number (age). As long as my legs are still good, I'll keep going.”
